The ZIP Wizard

Sending and receiving files across the Internet is a common activity these days.  You want to share copies of your documents, your family photos, your favorite music files, games, and other miscellaneous files with your friends, family and coworkers.  And ZIP files are the most common file format used to transfer these files from you to them across the Internet.

ZIP files are simply collections of one or more files, that have been digitally compressed to reduce their file size.  By compressing the size of those files, and then bundling them together into one single file, called a ZIP file, you make it easier to upload and download your files.  A compressed file will download and upload much faster, thereby saving you time. There have been many formats for compressing files over the years, but the most common format is ZIP.

The ZIP Wizard also works within Window's Explorer (a.k.a. "My Computer").  Simply highlight the file(s) you want to compress from within Windows Explorer, then right mouse click, and the ZIP Wizard is there, ready to help you ZIP your selected file(s).  See snapshot...
