Discover
the world of public radio with Ear Guide!
Public radio is commercial free, listener supported public
broadcasting. You might be fortunate enough to live in an area of the
country where you can turn on your radio and listen to programs from NPR and
PRI, such as All Things Considered, A Prairie Home Companion,
and Car Talk, just to name a few. But what if you aren't near a
radio? Or what if you missed this week's episode of This American
Life? Or what if public radio isn't available in your area?
The good news is that public radio is also available on the Internet!
Literally hundreds of unique, commercial free, public radio broadcasts are
available to you if you have a reasonably fast Internet connection, a media
streaming player (RealAudio, Winamp, etc.) and Ear Guide!
Ear Guide is similar to the popular TV Guide magazine - but
instead of TV programs, Ear Guide lists hundreds of popular public
radio stations and programs that you can listen to at the click of a mouse
button.

Ear Guide has over 400
different radio programs listed, from over 100 different public radio
stations. For a complete list of all of the radio programs contained
within Ear Guide, click here. Once
you find a radio program in Ear Guide that you would like to listen
to on a regular basis, just add the program to your "Scheduler"
list. Since Ear Guide can be minimized to your System Tray
(running in the background), it can also launch the program at its next
scheduled air time. For example, would you like to listen to Car
Talk every Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm? Just add it to your
"Scheduler" list, and then minimize Ear Guide to the
System Tray. That's it! Come next Saturday, at 4:30pm, Car
Talk will launch automatically! In
addition to listening to live public radio broadcasts, Ear Guide
also has a library of audio archives that you can listen to at any time. If
you are a fan of public radio, then Ear Guide is a "must
have" addition to your software collection!
